Kagera Youth Forum

Who we are.

Kagera Youth Forum (KYF) is a local non-governmental organization headquartered in Bukoba, Kagera Region, Tanzania. The organization was established to address persistent social and economic challenges affecting youth and young women, including unemployment, health concerns, early marriages, limited access to opportunities, and cultural and policy barriers that reduce participation in development.

  • Transform youth and young women’s understanding through collective and consistent voices on effective practices for socio-economic development.
  • Promote health, hygiene, sanitation, and clean environmental standards among young people through practical education and community awareness.
  • Enable youth to capitalize on their potential while reducing threats that undermine their development and participation.
  • Create pathways for decent jobs, enterprise development, and productive livelihoods for youth and young women.
